Patch 4.0.3a (a.k.a. “The Sundering Shattering” for those who prefer catchy titles) is nearly upon us. By most accounts it will be arriving tomorrow, or perhaps today depending on when you are reading this post. Change is all around us, and it’s pretty exciting.
Inspired by the coming cataclysm, I’ve made one superficial change and one rather substantial change. You may have already noticed the superficial change. I switched to a new blog theme that offers more customization, which should make things easier on my end. I also think it looks nicer, so hopefully it will be better for you as well. For the most part the blog looks about the same, but I may tinker with it a bit over time, and the new theme makes it easier for me to do so without learning CSS. Of course, if you have any suggestions about the format of the site, please let me know in the comments!
The more substantial change, at least for me, is that a few weeks ago I moved Wugan to a new guild and server. This is not something I do lightly, because by nature I’m both loyal and cheap. My previous guild had a lot of success in ICC and I met some good friends. However, I’ve been a pretty vocal proponent of the advantages of 10 player raids (or at least the ability to choose between 10 and 25), and I finally decided it was time to make the move. My new guild, The Way over on Emerald Dream, is a great group of folks that will be focusing on 10 player progression raiding in Cataclysm. I think it’s going to be a really good fit for how I like to play the game, and the kind of people I like to play it with.
How about you folks? Any other Shamans who have recently moved guilds, or are looking to move? Or are you heading into the next expansion with your current guild and looking forward to the new challenges?
